Once again the villagers from the state have to face problem for water. Gates of maximum dams of the state have been closed due to lack of water. All necessary instructions to all concerned officials in this regard have been issued quite earlier.
It is to be mentioned here that as a last option to protect the standing Kharif crops, water have been released from the dams and reservoirs, but now this option has also been proved unsuccessful. Water level of maximum dams and reservoirs from where water being supplied for irrigation have been gone down. At all these dams and reservoirs water is available only for drinking and sanitation purpose only.
Providing water for drinking and sanitation purpose is the top priority of the state government. Thus due to lack of water in dams and reservoirs their gates have been closed. Therefore it can be said that no more water would be available for irrigation purpose.
With the unscheduled power cut in the state, villagers were already facing trouble. Now with the non availability of water for irrigation purpose would double their tension. On the other it has become a big challange for the government to tackle with the situation.
